Meet Darwin! He has the biggest smile, the floopiest ears, and the happiest tail! His favorite activities include: running zoomies around the backyard, meeting new friends, and getting giant bearhugs! Darwin is only four years old and has already adapted to quite a bit of change! He grew up as a trained tree-er, but was retired early for unknown reasons (we’re guessing because he was a lover not a runner). He then became a frequent flyer at the local shelter, was eventually never picked up, and spent the last year in the shelter until we found him! He has a lot to learn about living the pampered life, but he’s catching on quickly! Darwin absolutely loves people and has tons of new dog and cat friends! This boy is all heart; all he wants to do is please, he just needs help learning how. When he gets too excited inside, his current foster mom says all she has to do is tell him “No, Darwin!” and he’ll run to the nearest bed and lay down. He’s looking for an adopter/family that has the patience for his “I’m just learning” behaviors so that his easy-going, super-cuddly, loves-everything personality can continue to blossom. Potential adopters must give quality hugs and snugs!

Please read through our adoption policies and requirements at prior to requesting an application.

We require all animals in the household to be up to date on core vaccines. Dogs must be vaccinated against rabies, canine distemper, and bordetella. Cats must be vaccinated against rabies and feline distemper.

All of our animals are in foster homes. We will schedule meet and greets after approving your adoption application to ensure our fosters are only meeting with serious applicants.
