This handsome guy is Murphy! He’s a little older than most of our other fosters, but that doesn’t slow him down! His favorite time of the day is when his foster momma comes from work and his second is mealtime! Murphy is one smart cookie! He knows sit, down, shake, stay, off, and go-to-your-crate! He loves to play with toys, but his favorite is his tennis ball! He also likes to play with all sorts of other dogs, that is if they mind their elders of course!

Meet Romi! Romi is an attention hog that loves a good belly rub. She also loves her tennis ball and will play fetch for hours! Romi loves all people and has gotten along really well with all of the dogs she has met.

    Great Pyrenees Mix
    Male

This handsome hunk is Barry! He’s just as goofy as he is sweet! He’s such a lover and will nudge your hand for pets and attention; he can never get enough snuggles! Barry absolutely loves to play with other dogs and gets along very well with his foster’s cats…except sometimes when he forgets his manners and chases them :)

    Corgi Mix
    Male
Jack-Jack is currently house trained and walks well on a leash. Given time, he would be a great off leash pup! Jack came to us with a damaged ear (the left ear is missing part of the rostral pinna with scarring at the base of the ear) and eye (Phthisis bulbi of the left eye). However both have been checked out by a veterinarian and do not require further medical treatment. Because he has had a rough life up to this point, he is very timid of people at first meeting. However, once he gets to know you, he turns into a completely different dog! He likes to lay on the couch and get belly...

Meet Blue! Blue LOVES belly rubs and cuddling. He enjoys getting his energy out through runs and walks. There is nothing better than coming back from work and being greeted by his big, happy smile. Blue does not bark and is great with people, but can get a little over-excited when first being introduced to someone. In additionto being house and crate trained, Blue is also trained in simple commands, such as "sit" and "shake." The best environment for Blue would be a family that enjoys playing and doesn't mind wet kisses.

    Redtick Coonhound
    Male

Clifford is an ~2 year old 45 lb Redtick Coonhound. He's got a moderate amount of energy, but this is easily curbed with a long walk or a nice game of fetch. He would also make a great running partner! He knows sit, down, stay, and come, and he's a very food motivated boy so teaching him is not super difficult. Clifford's favorite thing to do is hide all his toys to re-find them later!

He can be a bit rambunctious when he plays, so Clifford would do best in a home without very small children. Clifford was in rough shape when he came to AWFP, and has improved immensely. However, he...

    Boxer Mix
    Female
Dolly is such a snuggler! She seems like she's had a rough life and still cowers sometimes around quick movements or loud noises. However, as soon as she realizes you're not going to hurt her, she becomes such a wiggle-butt and crawls into your lap for belly rubs. She initiates play any chance she gets and bounces around just like a pup. She gets along very well with all of my dogs, both of the cats, and she loves strangers! She still sometimes finds unapproved items to chew on, but otherwise she has picked up house-training very quickly. She was definitely not housebroken or socialized...

    Pit Bull Mix
    Female

Dixie is an energetic, playful girl around 1.5 years old who would make a great running or hiking partner. Thus far, she has been crate trained, completely house broken, and knows the commands sit and drop. She does well loose in the house, but can pull on the leash when out for walks. She has a very dominating personality so she would do better in a house without other dogs. Dixie would benefit from being in a household that can give her lots of attention and exercise, and in return she will snuggle with you in bed and be your constant companion.
